Retired Wine Barrel

Take home your very own Oak Barrel. 

These barrels have spent years aging some of your favorite wines, now they can be used for furniture, decoration, or even as a planter.

There are two types of barrels for sale:

• Bordeaux Barrels are narrower and taller.
  • Height: 37"
  • Head Diameter: 22"
  • Middle Diameter: 27" 
• Burgundy Barrels are fatter and shorter.
  • Height: 35"
  • Head diameter: 23"
  • Middle Diameter: 29:
• All barrels weigh around 100 pounds
• Barrels are not suitable for alcohol storage and do not come with bungs (stoppers.)
• Wine barrels must be maintained to keep from falling apart. Empty barrels will dry out and collapse if not filled with liquid. If a wine barrel is being used for decorative purposes, the hoops must be fastened. There are many guides online that detail how to maintain an empty barrel.

Once you purchase a barrel we will email you to schedule pickup. Barrels will not be shipped or delivered, please choose pickup when you check out. If you select shipping, we will remove the shipping charge before we charge your credit card.

Barrels are large and unwieldy. They are unlikely to fit in any vehicle except a pickup truck. Please plan accordingly.
